Body Implants for women
Procedures are performed under a general anaesthetic or local anaesthetic with ‘twilight’ IV sedation.
With the exception of breast implants, body implants are most often made from solid silicone.

Buttock implants

Calf implants – are used to give the appearance of more defined, muscular calf muscles.
Hip implants
Hip implants – these implants are still relatively new and are used to create the appearance of a more defined waist and create an hourglass shape which many women desire.
Recovery
You may need to wear a compression garment for 2 weeks
Swelling and bruising will normally disappear within 2 weeks

Risks and complications:
Infection
Scar tissue formation
Hematomas & seromas
Implant extrusion
Necrosis (death of skin cells)
Revision surgery may be required if:
Implant(s) has not given desired change to contours and needs to be replaced with a different shape or size
An infection has resulted in the implant(s) needing to be removed
Implant(s) have moved from the correct location
Excessive scar tissue formation
