CSA Celebrates Transgender Awareness Week 2022

Transgender Awareness Week 2022

Personally, cosmetic surgery is about so much more than just looking good. When you feel uncomfortable in your body or how you look living life authentically can be very challenging. It’s important to remember that you are worthy of the life you are living and you should never be ashamed of who you are.

If you are struggling with the gender you were assigned at birth, transgender surgery is often critical to being your most authentic self. Transgender awareness week helps to share information about the struggles transgender people and the community face, and provides a unique opportunity for LGBTQ+ allies to take action to support transgender people.

Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) have partnered with Getty Images for their 2022 creative grant, Chosen Family. The grant is aimed at challenging stereotypes of the LGBTQ+ community and families through diverse imagery and non-stereotypical representation. Applications close 18th November 2022. Judges include GLAAD’s Director of Transgender Representation, nominated film producer Alex Schmider.
