Solution for Scar Treatment

One of the most common questions when having cosmetic surgery is, will the scars be visible? Placement of scars is always carefully considered and normally means they are not easily detected. I have had one of the most popular types of cosmetic surgery that causes scarring is –  breast augmentation surgery.

There are ways to reduce the appearance of breast augmentation scars. It is possible to have breast implants placed through the transaxillary incision in the armpit or through the belly button (T.U.B.A) which means they are very well hidden. However, the most common incision is the inframammary incision made in the breast crease and  this is also the most popular incision for the placement of  extra large breast implants. With this incision, scars can often be seen when you lift up your arms or lie down. Another incision used for breast augmentation is the periareolar incision, made around the edge of the areolar. Typically when this heals the scars be hard to see, but if they don’t  heal well, they will be very noticeable.

What’s the Best Scar Treatment?

With so many scar treatments I would not want to say which one is best.

I understand how much breast augmentation scars can impact your happiness and satisfaction with your results. When I had my second and third breast augmentation procedures I used silicone sheets and had microdermabrasion. Unfortunately I did not take before and after photographs.

When I found out about a product called Solution for Scars I was intrigued and I wanted to review it for myself.

On the 3rd of  August I had a hip replacement, which gave me the perfect opportunity to find out if this cream can really make a difference on a significant scar.

Cons

Disclaimer: I was sent this product to try and to give this product a fair review, I felt it was necessary to use it for 12 weeks. This is because my hip scar is the result of a total hip replacement and is significantly deeper than a typical cosmetic surgery scar.

My Personal Observation

The results so far are very good, my scar is noticeably flatter and finer. Although this is to be expected after 12 weeks, I can definitely see a difference between this scar and the way my other hip scar (from a total hip replacement on my other leg) had healed after 12 weeks.
